The Transplant Nurses’ Association Inc (TNA) complies with the national privacy legislation, The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001, effective 21st December, 2001.
At the time of initial application or renewal of membership to TNA, members provide personal information, including:
First Name, Last Name, Job Title, Employer, Postal Address, Phone (W), (M), Fax and Email Address. and credit card number. This information is collected in order for TNA to perform the services that you have requested.
The disclosure of this information is only for purposes directly related to:
- Providing information about education, training and professional development
- Organ Donation, Transplantation and Nursing research
- The supply of services or products endorsed by, or associated with, TNA
When you provide your email address or any other personal information, it will be kept confidential, and will only be used for the purpose for which it is provided and that is so that we can provide our service to you. We may use your information to contact you in the future if you so choose. We will not pass on your details to third parties without your consent. The TNA will always endeavour to ensure it disseminates information on behalf of 3rd parties
All current information, provided to the TNA prior to The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001 being implemented, will be treated as per these current amendments. All future requests for the member to provide personal details will be accompanied by a request for the approval of disclosure to third parties as deemed appropriate by the TNA Executive.

Further, if you believe that the information we have about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, contact us and we will use all reasonable efforts to correct the information.
