Public consultation on the Critical Bleeding/Massive Transfusion

Members of the Clinical/Consumer Reference Group and the National Blood Authority are delighted to advise you that public consultation on the Critical Bleeding/Massive Transfusion module of the Patient Blood Management Guidelines, the first of six modules to replace The NHMRC/ASBT Clinical Practice Guidelines on Fresh Blood Components (2001)commences now.
Not only are we using this opportunity to seek feedback on this first module, we are also very keen to hear you views and preferences about strategies to encourage uptake and use of the guidance provided within this module.
The draft module and technical report (two volumes) are available on the National Blood Authority’s website at: http://www.nba.gov.au/guidelines/consultation.html along with instructions on how to make a submission. The closing date for submissions is Friday 14th May, 2010.
