2009 was an eventful year for the TNA Queensland Branch with education programs, the coordination of nursing support for the World Transplant Games and commencement of the planning for the National TNA Conference 2010
Each transplant specialty took responsibility for coordinating an education session on their campus which created a diversity of topics, include ‘Donation after cardiac death’, Iron studies in bone marrow transplant recipients’ and ‘The immunocompromised traveller”.
We’d like to thank the 36 volunteer nurses (many TNA members) who provided support both in the flu screening clinic and on site at each event of the 17th World Transplant Games.
